A new RAID. And a new idea of rally
The center and starting point of this rally on both days is the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in CH-4133 Pratteln, which is equipped with the most modern comforts and is ideally located not far from the A2 motorway. The rally in two neighboring countries, which follows very different but roughly equally long daily routes, starts from here on Saturday and Sunday. And this is also where all participants will have dinner together on Saturday evening and where you will spend the night.
You will experience two days of time out, two days of rally atmosphere, two full days of being with like-minded people. A true concentration of RAID classic car fun.
Saturday, May 24, 2025: Welcome to the Black Forest!
There is no doubt about it – the Black Forest is one of the most impressive regions in Germany, located in close proximity to Switzerland. Green valleys through which still unchanneled streams flow, black pine forests – Black Forest!
Lonely farms under huge roofs, nearby the chapel that belongs to the farm, romantic gorges and mountain ranges with wide views.

You drive according to the road book, on roads that make driving a classic car a pleasure and a joy. The stages are divided into zones with tests, with plenty of free driving in between; the road book takes you safely and on time to the right places.
Lunch in a beautiful location, typical dishes from a region that is also one of the best in Germany in terms of cuisine.

Sunday, May 25, 2025: Bienvenue en Alsace!
Alsace is considered a typical and one of the most beautiful regions of France. It begins right after the border with Switzerland. You cross the impressive expanse of the Rhine plain, bordered in the distance by the Black Forest on one side and the Vosges mountain range on the other. On the famous Route du Vin, you will find uniquely picturesque villages and places with their post-and-beam buildings, with roofs on which you can see stork nests and storks.
Cuisine typique alsacienne
Also on this side of the Rhine: quiet, well-developed roads on which you can really enjoy your classic car. Vineyards, green forests, varied landscapes - la vie est belle!
Lunch in a typical Alsatian wine tavern, surrounded by vineyards in the middle of an area where one of the best white wines in the world is grown.

The new road book: now the passenger has less work!
The roadbook is being prepared by Jean-Thierry Vacheron from Lausanne. The rally expert designs this important document in accordance with the internationally applicable FIA guidelines. The new roadbooks were very well received by participants at the 2024 RAID DU SUD IV and the BELMOT Autumn RAID SWISS.
The locations of the special tests are marked in the road book. This saves the passenger a lot of work – and some calculations.

If you have chosen one of the four categories, you can also register for one of the four special categories if you wish. The winners of the special categories will receive a special prize at the awards ceremony.

Conditions of admission
Cars of all categories and engine displacement classes up to and including 2005 are permitted. The vehicles must comply with the provisions of the road traffic regulations. The RAID organization reserves the right to reject vehicles.
Scoring mode
Categories:
A separate ranking is created for each of the Veterans, Classic and Youngtimer categories. This also applies to the women's teams, team ranking and Young Raiders up to 30 years of age.
Overall ranking:
For the Veterans, Classic and Youngtimer categories together (1st - 3rd prize). The vehicle with the fewest penalty points in all categories receives the trophy for overall victory.
Registration for vehicles built before 2005:
Vehicles up to and including 2005 are permitted to take part in the RAID SCHWARZWALD-ALSACE. Younger vehicles can take part in the RAID with special permission. However, to ensure equal opportunities with older vehicles, these will be given a one-off handicap of 30 penalty points or will be driven out of competition.
Type of competition:
On routes marked on a map and/or road book, participants are free to drive within the legal regulations and are bound to average speeds (not exceeding 50 km/h). Secret checks on the route, time controls, various regularity checks, tube and navigation tests. The drivers must strictly adhere to the rules of the Swiss, German and French road traffic laws.
Participants in the openRAID category drive according to the roadbook but without any testing or timekeeping.
Insurance
The owners of the participating vehicles must be insured for claims against third parties in accordance with the applicable regulations. In any case, insurance is entirely and exclusively the responsibility of the participants.
Disclaimer
The organizer expressly disclaims any liability towards vehicles, participants, their companions and the owners of the vehicles. The vehicle drivers and/or owners are liable towards third parties. This exclusion of liability also applies to officials and helpers. The drivers are liable if they violate the legal traffic regulations. By signing the registration, the participant declares that he accepts these conditions without reservation and that he expressly waives any legal action against the organizer or the RAID organization in any way and for whatever reason. The organizer can punish negligence, non-compliance with the regulations, unsportsmanlike behavior or violation of the law with exclusion. The place of jurisdiction is CH-4144 Arlesheim.
Program changes
The organizer expressly reserves the right to make any changes to the program or individual parts of the event or, if necessary, to adapt the services. This decision cannot be appealed. The event takes place in all weather conditions.
rankings
The sporting and competitive nature of the RAID SCHWARZWALD-ALSACE is characterized by numerous regularity and navigation tests. The winner of the SCHWARZWALD-ALSACE is the person who has received the fewest penalty points.
Handicap regulation
When measuring time, there is a handicap regulation that takes the age of your vehicle into account. A multiplier ensures that the ranking can be created based on coefficients.
The vintage is automatically taken into account when calculating the penalty points for specials and hose tests. Since speedometer accuracy generally decreases with increasing age, the year of a car also affects the number of penalty points: the older the vehicle, the lower the multiplication factor.
Example:
Born in 1938 Penalty points from Spéciales and hose tests are multiplied by 1.38.
Year of birth 1979 Penalty points from Spéciales and hose tests are multiplied by 1.79.
Regulations
After registration and payment, the participant will receive the basic regulations for the event.
The detailed regulations will be sent to the participant electronically at least one month before the rally.
At the start of the rally, the latest regulations will be given to the participants in printed form. Read them carefully, as changes may occur. The latest version is authoritative!
