The time is almost here: RAID 2026 is about to begin! We are very much looking forward to welcoming you soon to an unforgettable rally experience.
This is the Event regulations with all important details about the program, schedule, times, hotels, exams and other organizational information.
The event regulations supplement the Sports regulations, which includes the regulations for timekeeping and scoring, as well as the Conditions of Participation including regulations concerning vehicle equipment and breakdown service.
All regulations can be found on the Sportity app. Please read this information carefully so that you are optimally prepared for the start.

Friday, August 21, 2026
01 > Waiting area Amtshausplatz
If you arrive in Laufen too early, wait at the Parking lot at Amtshausplatz and only enter the starting zone at your scheduled entry time (see below). This will make it easier for us to organize the starting grid.
02 / 03 > Entry control: Access and arrival at the starting zone
Follow the marked route. to the Corner of Hauptstrasse and WassertorgassePlease adhere to the following entry times:
Starting numbers 01 – 18: 07:45 – 08:00
Starting numbers 19 – 35: 08:00 – 08:15
- Please follow the instructions of the officials.
- Parking of vehicles according to starting numbers in the main street of Laufen (starting grid)
- Submission of the documents (rally plate, side/rear numbers, etc.) and the Roadbook 1
- Deposit of CHF 100 in cash for the transponder
- RAID officials install the transponder on the vehicle.
- Breakfast in the Burgersaal from 7:45 am
04 > Welcome and driver briefing in the Burgersaal at 08:45 am
Official welcome and drivers' briefing. At least one person per team must be present at the drivers' briefing, as general and technical information about the entire rally will be given. A representative from our timing partner, RaceResult, will also be available to answer questions.
05 > RAID starts at 9:30 AM
After the driver briefing, you will start the first leg.
Stage 1: Laufen - Geneuille
Stage length: approximately 150 km
Average speed: 45 km/h
Start: Running
- Start at 09:30 Clock according to starting numbers
- Start interval 60 seconds
- Follow the roadbook
Destination: Geneuille (Château de la Dame Blanche)
- End of stage
- First, park your vehicle and then proceed on foot to the timing point at the calculated arrival time.
- From your registered arrival time, you will have access 60 Minutes available for lunch.
- Lunch will be served by the latest 14:00 The clock will be served. Teams arriving later will start directly on the second stage.
2nd stage Geneuille - Chailly-sur-Armançon
Stage length: approximately 155 km
Average speed: 47 km/h
Start: Geneuille (at the Château de la Dame Blanche exit)
- 60 Minutes after your registered arrival time, please proceed to the exit of the castle grounds.
- You will be started there by a team of officials (the actual start time applies).
- Follow the roadbook
Destination: Chailly-sur-Armançon (Château de Chailly)
- End of stage
- First, park your vehicle in the castle courtyard and then proceed on foot to the timing point at the calculated arrival time.
- Welcome Drink
- 19:30 Time: Aperitif (outdoors if the weather is nice)
- 20:30 Time: Dinner in the Knights' Hall
Saturday, August 22, 2026
- Breakfast from 6:30 am (basement)
- Check-out: please settle your extras (minibar, hotel bar, etc.) at the hotel reception.
3rd stage Chailly-sur-Armançon - Vittel
Stage length: approximately 205 km
Average speed: 48 km/h
Start: Chailly-sur-Armançon (Château de Chailly)
- Away 07:30 Time: Hand in Roadbook 2 in the breakfast room
- Start at 08:00 Clock according to start numbers
- Start interval 60 seconds
- Follow the roadbook
Destination: Vittel (Restaurant L'Orée du Bois)
- End of stage
- First, park your vehicle and then proceed on foot to the timing point at the calculated arrival time.
- From your registered arrival time, you will have access 60 Minutes available for lunch.
- Lunch will be served by the latest 14:00 The clock will be served. Teams arriving later will start directly on stage 4.
Stage 4 Vittel - Mutzig
Stage length: approximately 160 km
Average speed: 46 km/h
Start: Vittel (Parking Lot Restaurant L'Orée du Bois)
- 60 Minutes after your registered arrival time, you will be started by a team of officials for the 4th stage (the actual start time applies).
- Follow the roadbook
Destination: Mutzig (Dôme de Mutzig parking lot)
- End of stage
- Your arrival time will be measured electronically upon entry.
- Please only neutralize your markers at the end of the stage. There is plenty of space.
- Directly on to the Free Drive stage to Strasbourg.
Free Drive stage Mutzig - Strasbourg
Stage length: approximately 30 km
- Free start to the Free Drive stage.
- No checks or inspections along the way.
- Follow the roadbook (motorway) or satnav directly to Hotel Les Haras in Strasbourg. The entrance to the courtyard is located in the Rue Ste Elisabeth (> Google Maps)
- Parking of vehicles in the courtyard of the Hotel Les Haras.
- Welcome Drink
- 20:00 Time: Dinner at Brasserie Les Haras.
Sunday, August 23, 2026
- Breakfast from 06:30 Clock
- From 7:30 am: Hand in Roadbook 3 and lunch bag in the breakfast room
- Check-out: please settle your extras (minibar, hotel bar, etc.) at the hotel reception.
Free Drive stage Strasbourg - Mutzig
Stage length: approximately 30 km
- Free start to the Free Drive stage.
- Follow the roadbook (highway) or sat nav directly to the starting point (Dôme de Mutzig parking lot).
- No checks or inspections along the way.
- Parking of vehicles according to the instructions of the officials.
Stage 5 Mutzig - Mulhouse
Stage length: approximately 180 km
Average speed: 45 km/h
Start: Mutzig (Dôme de Mutzig parking lot)
- 09:00 Time: Start according to bib numbers
- Start interval 60 seconds
- Follow the roadbook
Destination: Mulhouse (Musee Nationale de l'Automobile)
- End of stage
- First, park your vehicle on the museum's circular route.
- Remove the transponder and then walk to the timing point at your calculated arrival time. You will receive your CHF 100 deposit back there.
- Aperitif and free tour of the museum.
Musée de l'Automobile - Award Ceremony
- Upon arrival: Aperitif and free tour of the museum.

Additional information
Transponder
In Laufen, RAID officials will attach the transponder to the vehicle; a deposit of CHF 100 is required for this. The transponder must remain on the vehicle for the entire duration of the event. After crossing the finish line in Mulhouse, participants must remove the transponder themselves and hand it in when their arrival time is recorded. The deposit will be refunded immediately upon return of the transponder.
Access to the exam results
In the Sportity app you will find a link to all timekeeping-related data. After each Speciale or hose test, you can use this link to retrieve your individual results.
Evaluations and prices
The final results will be announced in Mulhouse at the awards ceremony. Afterwards, they will be available via the Sportity app, and an overall ranking will also be published on the RAID website. Prizes will be awarded to the overall winners, runners-up, and third-place finishers.
Fair play, please!
On narrow roads, vehicles wishing to overtake must be given right of way; if necessary, you should stop briefly to facilitate the overtaking maneuver. Thank you for your cooperation!
alcohol consumption
In accordance with international customs and in compliance with road safety regulations, wine and/or other alcoholic beverages will only be served at the lunch buffet upon express request (for a fee) and at your own risk.
A basic allowance per person is provided for dinners and aperitifs and is included in the entry fee.
Other consumption (e.g. minibar or hotel bar) is at the participant's expense and must be paid individually at check-out.
Allergies and intolerances
The allergies and intolerances indicated on your registration form are recorded by the restaurants. Please inform the restaurant staff (at lunch and dinner).
Breakdown assistance
RAID breakdown assistance is available to all participants from Friday, August 20, 2026 (start) to Sunday, August 22, 2026 (finish).
RAID roadside assistance will carry out common repairs where possible to allow the journey to continue. There is no guarantee of damage repair or continued travel. Participants are responsible for the cost of any necessary spare parts or materials. Services other than those provided by the organizer (e.g., commercial towing services) will invoice for work performed. The organizer will not cover the costs of such private services.
Vehicles unable to continue their journey will be transported by the breakdown service, if possible, to the next stage end. Returning to the vehicle, repairs, and vehicle repatriation are the sole responsibility of the participant. Vehicle recovery, transport of accident vehicles, and complex or time-consuming repairs are not covered by the breakdown service.
